Cheeky girl

We all know that it’s quite dangerous to put lots of toys into the playpen with the child without any supervision. Therefore, I put only 1 or 2 toys in the playpen for ger ger to play just in case she’s bored. Guess what I saw? She put her leg thru the toy and fell asleep with it…

Music Lesson

piano2.jpgAlthough hubby & myself learnt music during our younger days, sad to say that we stopped halfway and did not manage to finish our music courses. Hubby learnt violin & myself learnt the piano. I stopped at Grade 5 & lost my Grade 5 certificate…sob sob! Come to think about it, I haven’t been playing piano ever since I stopped at Secondary 3. The reason I stopped playing is due to stress from school work & maybe I was getting quite bored on pratising the same songs for the music exam over and over again..haha! Imagine all my parent’s money had gone down the drain….(feeling a bit guilty now :P).

When I was pregnant, I will let the baby hear classical or baby’s music almost everyday to sort of stimulate their brain. I dunno whether this will work but no harm doing it rite? Now we felt that our children are quite interested in music (judging by their action), so hubby suggested that I should start scouting for a suitable music school for our son (obviously, this task is thrown to me now :)).

I have been scouting around for a suitable music school for a couple of months already, finally decided on one (I shall not reveal which school till it’s confirm!) and the good news is they are going to open a new branch in Hougang soon. I felt so happy because it will be nearer and more convenient for me to send him to and fro. So in the meantime I will wait for their call to organise and confirm the class before the opening! Woo hoo!

8 months old

img_0342.jpgOur princess has turned 8 months already…so fast! Now she can say “mum-mum” during feeding time. She likes music and will mumble a few sounds out. She likes to clap her hands when she hears music or if we ask her to do it. Always like to smile and laugh and play…likes shopping (will sit in the stroller for a long time without complaints unless she’s hungry for milk)!

Miss Fussy!

I have never tried feeding my children during the early stages (4 months onwards), because PD advice me not to do that till they are 6 months onward. Time passes so fast, our little princess starts to take some rice cereal & some porridge. When it comes to eating, she is more fussy than her brother. She will show her displeasure by puking out or closes her mouth tightly that the spoon is unable to feed through! Now she even plays with her water bottle and trys to avoid taking plain water from the bottle. I remembered our boy also went through the same phase before and we used the syringe (the type that we used to feed medicine to the children) to force feed some plain water every now and then. So I have to use the same method to our ger, and it works! Hopefully she will pass this phase quickly and be able to adapt to normal eating pattern soon….

7th Months Old

yq010208.jpgOur little princess is now 7+ months old, recently she has been clapping her hands when we say “Pai Pai Shou!” or she will raise up her hand if we say “Hi-5!”. She’s really a fast learner, Ah ma taught her a few times and she understood what we wanted her to do. My darling is so clever!

yq010208a.jpgPurposely went to buy this mini roses elastic headband to beautify her quite hairless head. If not people kept mistaken that our princess is a boy! I guess most babies with lesser hair will go thru this phase of identity confusion!

Updated post: Forgotten to mention that our ger has started calling “papa”….I can see the joy in hubby’s eyes whenever she calls him 🙂

Day 1 (02/01/08)-Orientation day…

Our little prince wore his own home clothing to school, teacher & parent briefing session, children played a bit of toys, parents bought uniforms for children…

Day 2 (03/01/08)

Our prince woke up from his morning nap , took his milk, changed into his uniform, carried his own bag, wore his own shoes & got ready to go to school. The moment the school door opened, all the children were led into the classroon, I started to hear cries sound from everywhere. Some parents would accompany their child into the classroom, some would just go away. I was quite worried that our prince was one of them, but when I peeped thru the door’s see through glass, he was playing by himself already…Good job! Eventually he did cry a little in the middle of the lesson as he spotted me looking at him through the see through window…I quickly went into hiding! I heard him crying and calling “mama” a couple of times & he stopped eventually. Phew!
